The Geneva Joint Commission for Building Finishing Work Geneva Lawyer The Geneva Joint Commission for Building Finishing Work (CPSO) is an organization that brings together social and union partners from Geneva to ensure compliance with the collective labor agreement for building finishing work in the Romandy region. Mission: Its main mission is to safeguard and defend the interests of the finishing work sector. It must particularly ensure compliance with the collective labor agreement for building finishing work in Romandy. To do this, it conducts inspections in companies subject to the collective agreement and sanctions violations by imposing contractual penalties (fines or warnings). The CPSO also acts as a collection center for professional contributions and early retirement and promotes training and professional development among companies and workers in the finishing work sector in Geneva. The CPSO seeks to strengthen its office by hiring a Lawyer. Your main tasks In this varied role, you will work closely with all teams of the CPSO as well as with the general directorate, and you will have the following main tasks: Manage litigation related to compliance checks with the collective labor agreement as well as any related matters; draft decisions and legal documents, internal notes, and other correspondence; defend CPSO cases in court and ensure the follow-up of legal proceedings. Ensure the follow-up of commission meetings for violations (establishing the agenda, taking minutes, implementing and monitoring decisions in line with the general directorate). Support and assist the entire CPSO office with all legal questions related to their activities. Lead the legal watch. Your profile You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Swiss law, ideally with a diploma from the Bar or a law school; you have at least 3 years of professional experience in the legal field; you have a strong interest in labor law and social insurance; knowledge of the construction sector or a strong interest in this area is a significant asset; you have excellent oral and written communication skills, with perfect spelling, while being able to simplify complex topics; you have a synthetic mindset, good analytical skills, comfort with numbers, and a good command of legal terminology; you are capable of working autonomously while collaborating with your colleagues and reporting to your supervisor; you are a proactive, versatile person with a sense of responsibility; you have a sense of discretion and perfect integrity.
