What you can contribute to
- Provide specifications for an application that allows households to enter information electronically
- Develop innovative techniques to modernise the household budget survey
- Prepare and consolidate survey data by integrating register data if necessary
- Actively participate in the implementation of international methodology (Eurostat, UN, etc.)
What makes you unique
- University Master’s degree in science (MSc) or equivalent qualification
- Very good IT knowledge and programming skills in statistics, especially with R and Python
- Synthetic mind, excellent conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Active knowledge of two official languages
In a few words
You will carry out work to enable the survey to evolve towards digitalisation and take responsibility for central processes in conducting one of the most important surveys of the FSO. Your tasks are demanding, varied and exciting.

The Federal Statistical Office (FSO) is the competence centre for public statistics and the main player in the Swiss data ecosystem. It produces statistical information, works towards data harmonisation through national data management, and develops processes derived from data science to advance data interpretation.
