Attached to the Drinking Water Gas management, the Drinking Water Production unit guarantees the continuity of operation and maintenance of works, stations and equipment to ensure the supply of drinking water to the entire canton as well as for gas works.
Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva
As an installation mechanic, you contribute to the maintenance and operation of drinking water production facilities. Through your commitment, you participate in the proper functioning of the essential installations for the canton’s drinking water supply:
- Participate in the maintenance, operation, assembly and troubleshooting of the Drinking Water Gas activity installations and on behalf of third parties;
- Contribute to the unit’s efficiency by ensuring the quality of interventions on equipment;
- Enhance the company’s external image through rigorous and professional services.
Your personality and skills
You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility as well as a spirit of synthesis and initiative. Versatile, available and possessing a good team spirit, you communicate easily and know how to adapt to different situations.
You have good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics, particularly on equipment such as pumps, valves and control and regulation devices. You are also able to keep informed of technical developments in your field.
It is expected that you have good general physical condition, medically validated for the use of respiratory protection devices, and that you are able to perform heavy work in sometimes difficult positions.
Your academic background:
- Federal VET Diploma as mechanic, polymechanic, mechatronics technician or equivalent training;
- Federal diploma for open-circuit mask carrier or commitment to obtain it within the year following entry into service.
