Attached to the Drinking Water Gas department, the Drinking Water Production unit's mission is to guarantee at all times the continuity of operation and maintenance of all facilities, including treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, groundwater recharge installations, the Jet d'eau as well as emergency Diesel groups, in order to ensure the supply of drinking water to the canton.

Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva

  • Participate in the maintenance, operation, assembly and overhaul of hydraulic and treatment equipment of the installations, as well as their troubleshooting
  • Train your colleagues in your field of expertise
  • Manage emergency interventions (on-call service) and ensure the safety of internal and external persons by applying the safety rules in force
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the unit and to enhancing the external image of the company

Your personality and skills

You demonstrate a sense of responsibility, a spirit of synthesis and initiative. Available and versatile, you stand out for your team spirit, communication skills and adaptability.

Your technical skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of installations dedicated to drinking water, notably pumps, valves and control and regulation devices
  • Ability to keep informed of developments in treatment processes and new equipment
  • Good general physical condition necessary to perform sometimes strenuous work and in constrained positions

Your academic background:

  • Federal VET Diploma as mechanic, polymechanic or equivalent training
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar field, ideally in drinking water production
  • Federal diploma for open-circuit mask carrier (or commitment to obtain it within the year)
  • ADR/SDR licence for the transport of dangerous goods (or commitment to obtain it within the year)

Specific information:

  • On-call service (standby)
  • Physical work involving sometimes strenuous conditions
