To learn more about our institution, take a few minutes to consult our retrospective.Counting nearly 160 professions, the Department constitutes a medical center focused on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It takes care of acute issues, thanks in particular to the emergency department of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, specific problems related to age, medical care, and medicine.The Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation Service of the Beau-Séjour Hospital (STERN building) is composed of acute care units and rehabilitation care units, welcoming patients under 75 years old requiring care. Since June, the activities of the SMIR Beau-Séjour are located at the Lina Stern building of the Cluse-Roseraie site during renovation work.Community Health Care Assistant - 80% or 90%As part of your activity within the internal medicine and rehabilitation service of the Beau-Séjour hospital, you accompany patients and their families in their care pathway on a daily basis. In this capacity and under the responsibility of the nursing staff, you assist patients in their daily life activities. You communicate appropriately with the patient, you know how to reassure them, and you perform medical-technical acts that fall within your competence with complete autonomy. You measure blood pressure, prepare medication treatments, change dressings, and perform injections and blood draws. You ensure the maintenance of equipment, furniture, and perform administrative and logistical activities within your unit.You actively participate in the prevention of risks related to care in collaboration with other health professional bodies (pain, pressure ulcer prevention, fall prevention).You hold a Federal Certificate of Proficiency (CFC) as a Community Health Care Assistant (ASSC) and hold your right to practice valid in the canton of Geneva. You have proven your technical skills in the provision of care and are a professional recognized for your ease with patients as well as with the care team. Experience in the care of patients and in an acute service is an asset. You possess great rigor as well as a keen sense of organization, stress management, and prioritization. Furthermore, you demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a marked interest in monitoring elderly patients. You are also comfortable with care for patients presenting cognitive disorders and/or behavioral disorders. Thanks to your team spirit, you work in interprofessionality to unite all partners around a common vision to develop care projects with a view to optimal care for patients and their families.
