Description
Grandson Castle, a nationally significant heritage site located on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, will reopen in 2026 after a major transformation. In this context, the Grandson Castle Foundation is developing Le Châtelet, a café-bakery integrated into the site, designed as a quality meeting place with the ambition to become a regional reference.
To support this project, the Grandson Castle Foundation is recruiting, from 1 December 2026 or by agreement, a:
BAKER (PERMANENT CONTRACT, 80%)
Your mission:
You are a passionate person eager to invest in a unique project by designing and ensuring the bakery production of Le Châtelet, consistent with the identity of the place. You organise the bakery activity autonomously and guarantee a regular artisanal production, adapted to the site’s attendance and events.
Your main responsibilities:
- Define and develop the range of breads, viennoiseries and bakery specialities
- Ensure daily production and productions related to site events
- Plan volumes and adapt production to seasonality and activity peaks
- Organise the laboratory work and coordinate the bakery assistant’s activity
- Manage stocks, raw materials and limit waste
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP)
Your profile:
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as baker or equivalent training
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in artisanal bakery with proven ability to manage production autonomously (position or service)
- Complete mastery of artisanal techniques (fermentation, shaping, baking)
- Strong interest in artisanal breadmaking, sourdough and product quality
- Ability to organise, plan and adapt production according to activity
- Strong sensitivity to product quality and origin of raw materials
- Knowledge and rigorous application of HACCP standards
- Reliability, sense of responsibility and desire to progress
- Team spirit, adaptability and calmness in the face of unforeseen events
