at the Environment Service (SEN), Contaminated Sites, Soil and Waste Section, in Sion

Your tasks

• You ensure the implementation of waste requirements in Upper Valais
• You ensure the planning and control of waste disposal facilities subject to the OLED and OMoD and prepare the related permits
• You assess construction projects concerning the waste sector and requests for exemptions for open fires
• You support partners involved in the regularisation of mineral waste recovery facilities
• You participate in the implementation of the Cantonal Waste Management Plan You participate in the on-call service

Your profile

• ETH / university engineer in environmental sciences, chemistry or geology, or equivalent training
• Experience in the field of waste disposal and/or site supervision
• Good writing skills
• Sense of responsibility
• Effective, independent and structured working method
• Ease of contact, initiative, availability and flexibility
• Ability to work independently and in a team, good team spirit
• Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of German
