On behalf of our client, a major player in the Geneva public sector, we are looking for a Test Manager to contribute to the quality and reliability of large-scale digital projects. In a complex IT environment managing numerous projects and a wide portfolio of applications intended for the administration and citizens, your mission will be to ensure that the delivered solutions meet functional, technical, and security requirements before their deployment. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle to define the test strategy, manage validation campaigns, and ensure quality monitoring in close collaboration with various IT and business teams. Your role will be central to ensuring the robustness of applications and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define the test strategy for projects (types of tests, tools, organisation, and methodologies)
  • Plan the testing phases within the project lifecycle and develop test plans
  • Estimate necessary resources and organise test campaigns (system, integration, acceptance tests)
  • Manage the progress of testing activities and monitor quality indicators
  • Supervise and coordinate test teams (testers, automation engineers, QA analysts)
  • Design and oversee the execution of manual and automated test cases
  • Participate in the execution of critical tests when necessary
  • Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with development teams
  • Verify fixes through regression test campaigns
  • Ensure applications comply with business requirements, security standards, and expected quality criteria
  • Issue a quality opinion (Go / No Go) before production deployment
  • Communicate test results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders (project managers, business analysts, developers, and operations teams)

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading testing in complex IT projects
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies (functional, automated, performance, security tests)
  • Experience in planning and coordinating large-scale test campaigns
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary test teams
  • Good command of test management and defect tracking tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams
  • Quality-oriented, rigorous, and able to work in demanding environments
  • Residence in Switzerland is mandatory
