Sontex is a successful and growing medium-sized company based in the Biel region, specialising in the development and manufacture of systems for measuring thermal energy. For 37 years, we have been developing, producing, and distributing precise devices for recording energy consumption. We help our customers use and save energy resources efficiently. Our national and international customers operate in the field of building technology and automation. Due to the retirement of the current position holder, we are looking for:
Technical Buyer (m/f) 100%
Your main tasks
- Create and track orders
- Create and track Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers
- Monitor deadlines and send reminders
- Negotiate prices, delivery times, and supplier conditions
- Manage supplier activities and all logistical aspects, including transport
- Handle supplier complaints and follow up on corrective actions together with the SQA manager
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes
- Participate in the selection of new suppliers
- Communicate with suppliers on technical aspects
Your profile
- Professional qualification as a merchant, supplemented by a technical qualification, or technical professional qualification supplemented by a certificate as a purchasing assistant (procure.ch)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in technical purchasing or industrial procurement
- Good knowledge in the field of electronic components; technical knowledge is an advantage
- Knowledge of the requirements of a quality management system according to ISO 9001
- Good command of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with an ERP system; knowledge of Proalpha is an advantage
- Languages: Very good command of French and English; basic knowledge of German
- Proactive personality, open to change and motivated to develop further in a dynamic technical environment
- Good interpersonal skills, team spirit, and the ability to collaborate in a versatile manner with a good sense of analysis and priorities
