Social WorkerThe Social Service of the City of Geneva (SOC) contributes to the framework and living conditions of the inhabitants of our city by creating connections and enabling them to fully participate in social life. Favoring local action, the SOC offers services and develops projects aimed at promoting solidarity and the integration of people in situations of vulnerability, in collaboration with institutional partners and associations. The Social Emergency Mechanism in particular meets the needs of people in situations of homelessness or great precariousness in 5 dedicated structures (Emergency shelters and Rive Gauche social club).To guarantee this reception during the coming winter and to prepare for the possible opening of an additional shelter in case of a period of extreme cold, the SOC is looking to strengthen its existing team and is opening several Social Worker (ASO) positions.ASO - Evening- Activity rate: 38%- Hours: from 5:45 PM to 11:45 PM- Salary: hourly, according to scale- Contract type: fixed-term- Start date: November 2- End date: April 30ASO - Night shift- Activity rate: 56%- Hours: from 11:15 PM to 8:15 AM- Salary: hourly, according to scale- Contract type: fixed-term- Start date: November 2- End date: April 30Your mission- Ensure the reception and socio-sanitary supervision of vulnerable people;- Perform first-level socio-sanitary assessments and take appropriate measures (information, etc.);- Accompany beneficiaries in accessing personal hygiene, by implementing adapted solutions favoring the maintenance or restoration of hygiene compatible with the respect of their dignity and autonomy. Also support them in the management of their personal effects;- Manage the collective and ensure compliance with the framework defined for people in the reception structure; guarantee the tranquility and safety of the premises;- Go to meet homeless people in the public space, create a bond of trust, evaluate the situation and opt for measures to be taken if necessary;- Perform any task related to the requirements of the function (record observations in reports, use the database, etc.).Your profile- Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or equivalent qualification and/or proven experience in professional service activities where attention to others is paramount;- Ability to demonstrate authority with a public in a situation of vulnerability;- Reactivity during emergency situations and team spirit;- Proficiency in several languages is an asset;- Driver's license;- Ready to accept irregular hours (day, evening, night, weekends and public holidays).Application fileThe application file must contain: cover letter, curriculum vitae, diplomas and work certificates.Conditions of employment- Meet the requirements of the position in terms of diplomas and experience required in the job offer;- Be in possession of a valid permit or work authorization;- Be domiciled in the canton of Geneva or in the authorized border zone;- The selected candidate must provide at their own expense the following documents: ordinary and special criminal records, certificate from the prosecution office;- The function is classified within the limit of class G of the salary scale.NotePlease indicate in your application the position you are interested in! jidbb29b89aen jit0833aen jpiy26aen
