Safety Officer - Occupational Health & SafetyIntroductionAutonomous public establishment of the Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel, established on several service sites and with around sixty employees distributed mainly in the road and equipment and security sectors, NEVIA ensures the maintenance of the N5 roads, from Yverdon to Bienne, and N20, from Le Locle to Neuchâtel. We are looking for a Safety Officer - Occupational Health & Safety to join our dynamic team and contribute to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.Missions:Directly reporting to management, you ensure that the safety of road users is guaranteed at all times. You participate in the definition of safety measures to be implemented during construction sites, then verify their execution. You maintain contacts with emergency services and organize intervention exercises. You initiate prevention measures and training. You take part in the 3rd level on-call system, which is alerted during serious accidents. Thus, less than ten weeks per year, you are on call. You report on all events. To guarantee the safety and protection of staff health, you contribute to the proper implementation of the industry solution for road maintenance services and ensure its follow-up. You carry out audits, organize training, propose measures, and keep the documentation up to date.Profile:Benefiting from technical training, as an accomplished technician or ideally an HES engineer, you have several years of professional experience in the road, rail, or safety sectors. You also possess skills and experience in the fields of occupational safety, road safety, or crisis management. Able to work autonomously and assume responsibilities, you show interest in technical aspects while knowing how to demonstrate pragmatism. Mastering office tools, you have good oral and written expression skills. Endowed with excellent interpersonal skills and a real spirit of leadership, you know how to collaborate with field teams, unite the actors concerned, and get your interlocutors to adhere to your proposals in order to guarantee effective communication with our partners and authorities.
