What you will achieve

• Develop the safety culture and involve employees
• Be the main contact person for all inquiries regarding occupational safety (OS) and health protection (HP) within the company
• Advise and support management and line managers on OS/HP matters
• Support the assessment of legal compliance and report annually to management, including necessary corrective measures
• Coordinate and conduct basic training and SHE instructions at all hierarchical levels
• Participate in the selection, provision and maintenance of work equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ensure hazard identification at the site and organise necessary risk analyses in cooperation with OS/HP specialists
• Assess risks and define corrective measures to reduce hazards related to existing plants, facilities and methods
• Establish and maintain the organisation of emergency measures (first aid, fire fighting)
• Provide information to external control bodies (police, Suva, SECO, etc.) on occupational safety, environment and fire protection topics
• Contact person for sustainability

What you bring

• Education: Advanced technical college
• Specialisation: As a specialist in OSHP and/or expert in OSHP
• Professional experience: Several years of professional experience in the industrial/food sector
• Knowledge in handling chemicals
• Safety officer for fire protection VKF (advantageous)
• Experience working at multiple sites (advantageous)
• Organisational skills
• German (B1)
• French (B1)
