Nurse EISO (Specialised Interprofessional Oncology Team) / 80% / Permanent Contract
Job Description
In collaboration with the Oncology Department of the HUG and with the aim of improving outpatient and home care for patients with cancer, IMAD is creating a pilot project to develop a home care system specialised in adult oncology, based on a joint clinical pathway IMAD-HUG to improve continuity of care and home care for people with cancer undergoing treatment at the HUG. The established team will carry out a very broad and complex activity covering clinical, social, psychological and environmental aspects of the client. The EISO team will also be tasked with forging close links with the specific Geneva oncology network (for example: the Oncology Department of the HUG, the Cancer League, OTIUM).
Your Missions and Responsibilities
- Respond effectively to the specific care needs of the EISO team by autonomously and under medical delegation providing technically complex nursing care at home to adult clients with oncological pathology, usually provided in a hospital setting
- Provide comprehensive personalised care to adult clients with oncological pathology within a holistic vision taking into account notably their immediate and social environment, and psychological constraints. Assess any needs such as dietetics or occupational therapy
- Act as a case referent and act in accordance with the principles of the nursing code of ethics
- Participate in the institutional mission aimed at promoting home care in a stimulating environment for our clients by developing interprofessional and interpersonal relationships with the various teams integrated into the project
- Develop links and interactions with actors in the specific Geneva oncology network (for example: the Oncology Department of the HUG, the Cancer League, OTIUM).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- CAS in oncology with proven enthusiasm for the field
- Minimum two years’ professional experience in home care
- Skill in technical care
- Adaptability, flexibility and responsiveness
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to manage stress and sense of responsibility
- Knowledge of the Geneva oncology-specific network would be an asset
- Aptitude for working autonomously as well as in an interdisciplinary and interprofessional team
- Mobility essential (bike / car).
