IMAD is a pioneering and leading institution in home care in the canton of Geneva. It provides care, support, prevention, and health promotion services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to over 18,000 patients of all ages, 25% of whom are under 65 years old.

With its 2,300 expert and committed staff, including more than 50 teams deployed throughout the canton, IMAD's mission is to meet the population's needs and their wish to remain at home independently while preserving their quality of life during periods of temporary or prolonged fragility. Home Care Nurse Specialist / 80-100% / Permanent Contract



The nurse works at clients' homes, with all population groups of all ages requiring nursing care. The specificity of home care work is linked to the unpredictability of the context, the nature and variety of situations encountered, both socio-economic and environmental as well as psycho-physical. Services are provided autonomously, respecting the client’s lifestyle, beliefs, values, culture, autonomy, and integrity.

Your missions and responsibilities

  • Act as a situation referent within the home care team model and act in accordance with the principles of the professional nursing code of ethics
  • Provide personalised, comprehensive nursing care autonomously and/or under medical delegation, of a preventive, curative, educational, and palliative nature to clients of all ages at home
  • Organise medico-social procedures, coordinate and collaborate with all stakeholders involved in a client’s situation, mobilising available resources and supervising care performed or delegated to nursing assistants (ASSC)
  • Work interdisciplinarily and interprofessionally, respecting the institution’s mission and objectives
  • Participate in training and research activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum two years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of the Geneva care network
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent adaptability and delegation skills
  • Sense of responsibility and solution-oriented approach
  • Mobility essential (bike / walking / TPG / car).
