Supported by Fodac – Foundation for the Development of Arts and Culture –, Concorde espace culture (hereinafter Concorde) is a future cultural space in the heart of the Châtelaine district in Vernier.
Designed as a meeting place between art, culture and social connection, this centre will offer a transdisciplinary and eclectic programme within a large-scale infrastructure. Open to all – cultural audiences, artists, students, residents, culture professionals and tourists – this venue is part of a participatory and inclusive approach.
It is an ambitious venture with the mission to strengthen the local cultural fabric while actively contributing to the training of future generations, artistic flourishing and the influence of Geneva.
Concorde will open its doors in September 2026 in a 27,000 m² space spread over four buildings, including a significant cultural facility, a residential building as well as a 46-room hotel, a restaurant, a cafeteria, a take-away offer and a bar and event activity.
YOUR MISSION
Within Concorde’s Hotel & Catering division, you ensure quality service and contribute to a warm and attentive customer experience across all Concorde catering points of sale. Depending on your experience, you may also supervise and support the front-of-house teams.
The scope of the position includes the establishment’s 5 catering points of sale:
- Breakfast – replenishing the buffet and hot drinks for hotel guests
- Restaurant – table service in the dining room and on the terrace, for hotel guests, visitors and local residents
- Staff & student canteen – quick and friendly collective catering for Concorde staff and students
- Take away – takeaway sales for passing customers
- Show bar – bar and table service during events as part of Concorde’s cultural programme
Service & customer relations
- Set up the dining room and workstation before each service
- Welcome, advise and seat customers
- Present the menu, advise on dishes and drinks, and take orders
- Provide table service in accordance with quality standards
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the meal and handle comments or complaints professionally
- Prepare and serve drinks (bar, coffee, wines) according to the points of sale
- Handle payments and close the cash register
- Clear, reset and maintain the cleanliness of the dining room
- Ensure communication between the dining room and kitchen to guarantee smooth service
- Comply with hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) across all points of sale
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of equipment and service areas
YOUR PROFILE
Training & experience
- Training in catering (CFC or equivalent recognised in Switzerland) or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in front-of-house service, ideally in a high-paced or multi-point of sale establishment
- Knowledge of oenology, barista drinks or others is an asset
Skills & qualities
- Excellent sense of service and attention to detail
- Assumed versatility: you move easily between different points of sale as needed
- Dynamic, able to withstand pace and manage flows during busy periods
- Organisational skills and rigour in service execution
- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
- Fluent French is essential; a good level of English is required, any other language is an asset

- Availability for irregular hours (evenings, weekends, public holidays) according to Concorde’s programme
