Economist 80 - 90% (M-F) Job Description Join our team at the Office of Finance and Accounting and play a central role in managing the financial resources of the DGEO! At the heart of our missions, you actively contribute to the implementation of the budgetary and financial policy and provide your expertise for a tangible impact on the development of school projects and specialized pedagogy. Responsibilities Along with other economists, you manage the financial sector of specialized pedagogy institutions funded by the DGEO. You ensure the analysis and control of accounts and budgets, propose ideas, develop and implement financial management tools, and contribute to the regular review of the SCI to assist the office head on various cross-cutting financial files. You ensure follow-up on the financial reports of the CCF. You analyze the feasibility of projects, evaluate their financial impact, and write reports that support decision-making. You manage the transport system for students of specialized pedagogy, in compliance with public procurement law and in coordination with representatives from the subsidized sector. You manage the loan and investment file for entities funded by the DGEO. You ensure annual follow-up of investments, propose financing methods, and present decisions. Background in economics or equivalent degree required. Knowledge of construction economics. Professional experience of 5 to 10 years in economics or finance. Knowledge of financial processes and directives of Vaud. Familiarity with LCA, operation of the parapublic sector. Sensitivity to the needs of children and adolescents requiring special attention. Excellent mastery of common tools (Word, Excel, Access) and interest in responsibilities and ethics of public service, ability, and flexibility, listening and analyzing skills, synthesis ability, global vision and sense of perspective, a spirit of cooperation and support.
