Active in public and private transport (rail and road), Transports de Martigny et Régions are advertising the following position:
A railway engineer
Your tasks
- Ensure the availability and reliability of standard gauge passenger fleets while respecting the financial framework imposed by the business plan as well as safety and customer quality criteria
- Be proactive in optimising maintenance plans and in the technical reliability of vehicles
- Prepare and coordinate technical audits (supervisory bodies) and clients
- Develop, update and distribute maintenance operating procedures and monitor staff to ensure compliance with our activities
- Collaborate with other railway companies operating and maintaining vehicles on common issues
- Draft technical specifications for the acquisition of new vehicles, components or maintenance facilities
- Negotiate technical aspects related to commercial offers with suppliers
Your profile
- Hold a degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent (HES, EPF)
- Good communication and teamwork skills as well as negotiation skills
- Rigour, organisational skills and precision in monitoring interventions
- Ability to manage stress and make decisions independently
- Proficient with IT tools
- Comfortable interacting with clients/partners in German. English is an advantage
- Experience in the railway sector is an advantage
