Take the reins of residential real estate projects in French-speaking Switzerland for the first independent investment foundation in Switzerland
Our client is the first independent and non-profit investment foundation in Switzerland. It manages CHF 10 billion in pension assets for Swiss pension funds, free from influence by banks or insurance companies. Its residential real estate portfolio, structured into two groups of direct investments, one of which is focused on French-speaking Switzerland, is rapidly growing with several renovations and new constructions to be launched. To strengthen its team, our client is looking for a Real Estate Construction Manager – French-speaking Switzerland.
Based at the Lausanne office and reporting to the Real Estate Manager in Zurich, you will independently manage renovation and new construction projects in the French-speaking portfolio, from feasibility to handover. As the client representative (SIA 102), you uphold the foundation’s values: quality, deadlines, budget, and diplomatic, respectful management of existing tenants during renovations.
Main tasks
- Independently manage and supervise several renovation and new construction projects, from feasibility to delivery
- Represent the client and the site management (SIA 102) in all project phases and defend its interests
- Identify, mandate and supervise regional external partners; prepare, negotiate and monitor contracts with architects, engineers and general contractors
- Control and supervise costs, deadlines and quality; approve amendments, ensure reporting and standardise contracts, specifications and processes
- Identify densification and utilisation potential of each building; monitor legislation, zoning and cantonal regulations
- Support the Real Estate team in technical due diligences, investment requests and internal coordination
Your profile
- Higher education (University of Applied Sciences, ES or federal diploma) in construction management, civil engineering, building technology or HVAC field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing renovation and construction projects in Switzerland
- Strong experience as client representative and mastery of SIA standards
- Entrepreneurial profile with great autonomy, diplomatic sense and excellent organisation
- Team spirit and client orientation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent French and German essential, ideally Swiss German
