What we will achieve together
Within SIG, the Engineering Solutions and Projects Directorate (SPI) offers innovative engineering solutions for the renewal and development of SIG networks and facilities with a multi-fluid approach. It manages SIG engineering projects by ensuring deadlines, costs, quality, and risk management throughout the project.
Attached to the "Environment, Construction and Hydraulics" unit, Project Engineers in Architecture lead or contribute to projects for the creation, renovation, and extension of facilities related to all SIG activity branches (high-voltage electrical substations, pumping and water treatment stations, gas installations, thermal production facilities, etc.). In this capacity, they manage projects by integrating ecological, operational, and human issues at each phase, with a focus on economic and environmental optimisation and seeking acceptability among stakeholders.
They also contribute, as experts, to the integration of architectural, general construction, BIM (Building Information Modelling) collaboration, and legal construction framework issues within SIG’s facility projects. Simultaneously, they lead or support building permit applications on behalf of SIG and coordinate SIG’s positions in responses to third-party projects.
Finally, Project Engineers in Architecture act as an interface with competent authorities and offices (OAC, OCAN, OCIRT, Fire Police, SERMA, SABRA, etc.). They represent SIG, manage files, and conduct the necessary discussions and negotiations to bring projects to completion.
