Description

Recognised as a public utility, La Corolle is one of the Geneva institutions welcoming adults with intellectual disabilities. It is also part of the International Federation of L'Arche communities. La Corolle comprises 4 houses and 3 workshops, in Versoix and surrounding areas. It offers the residents a human-scale living environment, where "being with" is prioritised.

We are looking for a Manager for our house Le Puits. This house's mission is to support eight young adults in their daily lives, outside their workshop activities. The role is 60% managerial and 30% support. Support is provided in the mornings (from 7:30 am), evenings (from 4:30 pm) and weekends (about 2 days/month), rotating with all team members (7 people).

Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of support for the residents of Le Puits
  • Manage the organisation and overall coordination of activities at Le Puits
  • Lead, supervise and support the socio-educational team
  • Animate the life of the place, create a warm and welcoming environment and ensure community dynamics
  • Support residents in daily life, focusing on relationships, and participate in tasks related to house life.

Desired profile:

  • Required diploma: HETS or ES Educator
  • CAS in Team Management or equivalent
  • Training in autism would be an advantage
  • Experience in the field of intellectual disability
  • Experience in team management
  • Communication and listening skills
  • Organisational, analytical and synthesis skills
  • Ability to supervise a team and make decisions
  • Desire to live the L'Arche project (https://arche-corolle.ch)
  • Driving licence required and ability to drive a 9-seater vehicle
  • Resident in Switzerland or valid work permit
