Head of the Social Action Service


Who are we?

The Social Action Service (SASoc) ensures the provision of material aid to people in need, victims of offences, persons subject to the asylum law, and manages the recovery and advances of alimony payments. SASoc is responsible for improving and harmonising the cantonal social action system and ensuring the coordination of social and family policies. Your missions and profile

As head of SASoc, you are responsible for the strategic, operational and financial management of this service comprising around forty people. You are responsible for implementing social and asylum policy at the cantonal level, as well as coordinating family policy. You work closely with the State Councillor, Director of Health and Social Affairs, and advise them in your area of activity.

 

We are looking for a committed and communicative personality for this position, fully aware of the current cantonal and federal issues prevailing in the field of social action and asylum. You have very good knowledge of the Fribourg network. You also have the ability to understand complex situations through your sharp analytical skills and pragmatism.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in social policy and social work or equivalent training

  • Additional training in management, complex project management and/or public administration

  • Excellent knowledge of the social field

  • Extensive experience in a position of responsibility and proven personnel management skills

  • Ability to unite employees with scientific or administrative backgrounds

  • Fluency in French or German with excellent knowledge of the other language
