The municipality of Chêne-Bourg is advertising the position of Head of the Environment and Public Domain Service at 100%.The Environment and Public Domain Service is a key player in the living environment of Chêne-Bourg. Composed of eleven staff members and an apprentice, it ensures the cleanliness, aesthetics, and quality of the municipality's public spaces every day. The Head of Service will be responsible for assisting in the execution, planning, and supervision of activities related to green spaces and the management of the public domain. The person will work closely not only with the Head of Service but also with the second in command, and will be responsible in particular for:- supporting the Head of Service in the supervision and management of teams- ensuring the substitution of the Head of Service and/or the second in command- implementing the complete maintenance of green spaces and the public domain- collaborating on snow clearing and salting (night shifts, weekends, end-of-year holidays)- coordinating and ensuring the setup of equipment for municipal events- participating in biodiversity and differentiated maintenance projects in the territory- participating in the management of the service (budget, reports, maintenance planning)- managing requests from residents and partners with the support of the service- participating in public procurementRequested profile:- Possess a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (CFC) as a horticulturist-landscaper or equivalent- Federal Certificate or higher education in the field is an asset- Confirmed experience in the field with team supervision- Driver's license (required), machinist license is an asset- Knowledge of Swiss and Genevan standards- Ability to supervise and organize team work- Sense of organization and priority management- Sensitivity to ecological issues- Rigor, autonomy, spirit of public service and equity- Good stress management- Tact and interpersonal skills- Team spirit- Availability outside usual hours in case of shiftsStart date: October 1st or by arrangement.Persons meeting the criteria cited above may submit their application accompanied by their complete file (CV, cover letter, work certificates, diplomas) until June 21st via the registration form available on the website, employment section.
