The position is in the Diagnostic Department, composed of nine medical services, which aims to provide high-quality medical diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic acts, and specialized clinics in a timely manner and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to clinical decision-making. The clinical service ensures diagnostic clinical activity, primarily on tissues from biopsies or surgical specimens. This activity thus helps guide patient management and significantly contributes to therapeutic decisions. Through medical autopsies and its research and development activities, the clinical service participates in understanding the mechanisms involved in lesion processes. The service also has research and teaching missions. Biomedical Analyst Technician - 100% As a biomedical analyst technician, you will join the macroscopic, histology, and cytology team of the HUG service. You are responsible for handling tissue samples and performing the necessary technical steps for the processing of these samples for microscopic examination, ensuring quality, safety, and turnaround times. In your activities, you rigorously execute the reception, processing, and handling of samples sent to the service, participate in the preparation of histological slides, and ensure their quality and/or delivery to physicians. You ensure the proper functioning of the laboratory by maintaining it according to established standards. You participate in workshops and departmental meetings, and you carry out other clinical or academic tasks as requested, relevant to your position and in agreement with your supervisor. You hold a diploma as a biomedical analyst technician (TAB) or an equivalent qualification. You are comfortable with laboratory tools and possess good stress resilience, demonstrating organization and the ability to manage your priorities. Your rigor, sense of responsibility, and autonomy enable you to perform the tasks assigned to you optimally. Your ease allows you to work well in a team and communicate effectively. Experience in clinical settings is desired. Experience in histology is a plus. The positions are filled in a rotation that may require variable hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM as well as some Saturday on-call duties per year based on demand.
