Accountant - Controller Description of the job The Finance Unit of the General Directorate of Agriculture, Viticulture, and Veterinary Affairs is seeking an accountant - controller to strengthen its core financial framework of the service. You will ensure the maintenance of general accounting and budget monitoring, providing direct support to the financial manager. You will work closely with the various business divisions of the DGAV to meet their needs by providing the necessary tools for their decision-making. You will also participate in financial processes and the proper functioning of the internal X system, within a close-knit team consisting of one accountant and three accounting management assistants. Responsibilities Maintain general accounting and contribute to quarterly closings and the preparation of financial statements and various reports on accounts. Support the financial manager in monitoring the operating and investment budget. Provide business units with the necessary reporting tools for decision-making. Contribute to financial processes and the internal procedures and financial tools, as well as to the efficiency and reliability of financial reporting. Minimum of 7 years of experience in X, with a good command of accounting standards and procedures. Previous experience in management control desired. Knowledge of SAP software desired; advanced mastery of Excel required. Rigor in compliance with standards and regulations. Ability to identify solutions and solve issues autonomously. Strong commitment to public service and client activities, good listening skills, team spirit, responsibility, ethical rigor, and ability to work in a public context.
