PROFA, a foundation recognised as being of public utility by the State of Vaud, offers spaces for discussion in the field of intimacy throughout the canton.
The Youth Sexual Health Promotion and Prevention Service - PSJ (formerly the Sexual Education Service) works with pupils in the canton of Vaud under the mandate of the Department of Youth, Environment and Security (DJES). Within this framework, the General Directorate of Childhood and Youth (DGEJ), through the PSPS Unit, entrusts the PROFA Foundation with its entire mission regarding sexual health promotion and prevention.
Position to be filled - 1 year fixed-term contract (project):
A Sexual Health Specialist 40% to 50%
General duties of the position:
- Lead sexual health promotion and prevention interventions for compulsory school pupils (DGEO) and post-compulsory pupils (DGEP) in the canton of Vaud.
- Conduct information evenings for parents and awareness sessions for professionals in the school environment.
Required education, skills and experience:
- Holder of a CAS or DAS in sexual and reproductive health (or an equivalent qualification deemed acceptable), essential.
- Share a positive, non-judgemental and inclusive vision of sexuality.
- Basic legal knowledge regarding child protection and laws concerning sexuality. (Protection of minors, age of consent, pregnancy, termination of pregnancy).
- Experience in education, health promotion and group facilitation using active pedagogy.
- Knowledge of the Vaud school environment (PSPS Unit, Romand curriculum plan).
- Creativity and dynamism.
- Good reflective ability, listening skills, empathy and communication.
- Ability to ensure a framework guaranteeing safety and confidentiality.
- Adaptability, flexibility and autonomy in travel.
- Possession of a personal vehicle or a mobility solution allowing free travel throughout the canton.
