Head of the Affairs Division (Swiss Space Office) Bern, Switzerland (and remote work) | % What you can contribute You are a member of the SEFRI management and lead the Affairs Division (Swiss Space Office) in terms of planning and personnel (three units each with its own head, totaling eleven). You are responsible for the implementation and development of the policy in collaboration with various federal offices. You develop programs and concepts in this area in coherence with FRI policy and the sectoral policies of the Federal Government. You are in charge of the representation and implementation of Switzerland in the European Space Agency (ESA) programs and related activities. You lead and coordinate Switzerland's activities with ESA. You ensure the involvement of stakeholders from research, industry, and government at relevant interfaces. You represent the Federal Government and the Secretary during events and interventions regarding policy in Switzerland and abroad. What makes you unique Degree (ETH/university or university of applied sciences) preferably in natural sciences, engineering, or in a technical field, complemented by a further education in management (MBA or similar). Solid skills in research and industry, ideally complemented by professional experience in leadership and proven leadership qualities in a politically sensitive context. Analytical and conceptual skills, goal-oriented mindset, and the ability to assert oneself. Willingness to maintain a wide network of talents, excellent reliability, stress resistance, and service orientation. Very good knowledge of two official languages and English, with passive knowledge of the third. A few words In this leadership position and as a member of management, you actively participate in FRI policy and related political topics. You collaborate with many partners and advise the Secretary, representing her during events and interventions on themes related to the competencies of the office.
