The Energy Service (SEY) of the City of Yverdon-les-Bains has the main mission of supplying its residents with water, gas, electricity, and district heating. To this end, SEY must operate according to regulatory requirements and the distribution networks of water and gas. As part of its activities, the Energy Service of the City of Yverdon-les-Bains is looking for a: Unit Manager Water and Gas 100%Your main tasks and responsibilities:- Ensure the management of the water and gas unit activities (6 crew members) and coordinate activities with other units of the service and the City as well as with partners.- Ensure the implementation of self-monitoring of drinking water and follow up on the W12 measures.- Monitor the maintenance plans of water and gas facilities in compliance with legal, technical, and safety requirements.- Participate in on-call service in rotation with the team.Profile:- Hold a diploma as a water supply technician with federal certificate or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing a water distribution network and team management.- Knowledge in management and familiarity with SVGW guidelines for drinking water and gas.- Comfortable with MS-OFFICE tools, knowledge of GAMO X software is a plus.- Proficient in German and English, we are looking for you:- Your autonomy, efficiency, and critical thinking enable you to achieve set objectives, and your communication skills allow you to present and defend your solutions to various stakeholders.- Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in technical and energy systems, particularly distribution networks.- Sensitivity to public service and its importance.What we offer you:- The opportunity to contribute to varied projects at a high level within a very motivated team of specialists in a rapidly evolving field in a city actively engaged in the energy transition.- A position with responsibilities that allows you to leave your mark on the energy transition and digital transformation.- You will work closely with teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.For any additional information, you can contact Mr. X, Director of the Distribution Networks Department.
