The Cantonal Insurance and Prevention Establishment (ECAP) offers you the opportunity to join its team of specialists as: Technical Manager for Natural Hazard Prevention (80% - 100%)

Reporting to the head of the Prevention sector at ECAP, you implement and develop the prevention of damage to buildings caused by meteorological and gravitational hazards.

Your responsibilities:

  • You propose guidelines and deploy operational measures regarding the prevention of damage related to natural hazards.
  • You raise awareness and advise owners, architects, builders and communities in collaboration with various sector partners.
  • You provide information and recommendations, notably within the framework of building permit procedures.
  • You recommend specific prevention measures and manage subsidies intended to encourage them.
  • You participate in projects and working groups at cantonal and extra-cantonal levels.
  • You organise and lead training sessions aimed at owners, designers, various trades, communities and any other concerned audience.

Your strengths:

  • A higher education related to natural hazards and/or the building sector,
  • Proven professional experience in the field of natural hazards,
  • A strong interest in prevention issues,
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills and a strong sense of organisation,
  • Good communication, popularisation and mobilisation skills,
  • Autonomy in work combined with a genuine sense of public service,
  • Ability to collaborate with partners from diverse backgrounds,
  • A desire to invest in a dynamic and recognised institution.

Proficiency in German is an additional asset.
