The Vaud Hospitals Federation (FHVi), is the privileged partner of more than 12 hospitals and regional healthcare institutions in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digital health and has the main missions of planning, designing, implementing, and operating the information systems (IS) of its members. Main missions:- Embody inspiring management: guide and develop the systems team, stimulate autonomy, enhance skills, and strengthen cohesion.- Drive ambitious infrastructure projects: align IT with FHVi's strategy and ensure their success.- Ensure performance and security: monitor the availability, security, and evolution of systems, while providing an impeccable experience for staff and FHVi members.- Stimulate innovation: integrate the best tools and technologies to constantly improve processes and anticipate future needs.Key responsibilities:1. Leadership: motivate and develop team members. Plan activities, prioritize resources, and ensure inter-departmental coherence. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the quality of system management.2. Maintain the FHVi infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage and backup solutions, email services, load balancers, and databases. Industrialize and automate recurring tasks using market tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, to improve the efficiency, reliability, and reproducibility of systems through monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios…), ensuring resilience and security.3. Security and compliance: guarantee the security of FHVi's infrastructures and data according to current standards. Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to implement plans and manage incidents.4. Support & troubleshooting: provide level 2/3 support and resolve incidents. Supervise updates, upgrades, and internal projects. Document procedures to ensure traceability.5. Projects & needs: write specifications and manage projects by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track costs, deadlines, and quality. Ensure technological monitoring and propose researched solutions.Qualifications:- Higher education (engineering degree or equivalent).- Experience in systems and network engineering (minimum of 5-7 years).- Experience managing a team or strong ability to lead projects.- Technical expertise: Proficiency in Linux environments (Puppet, etc.) and/or Microsoft (AD, Exchange, PKI, Azure, RDS, PowerShell…).- Expertise in storage, security, supervision, and automation (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform).- Good knowledge of high availability architectures, redundant infrastructures, and active/active assets, with a fine understanding of resilience and continuity mechanisms.- Personal skills: leadership, listening skills, and a proactive spirit, methodical and rigorous, with the ability to prioritize in a demanding environment.- Ability to analyze stakeholder needs and translate these needs into suitable technical solutions.- Excellent service-oriented analytical skills and capacity to unify internal stakeholders.- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.- Ability to make informed decisions and solve problems efficiently.- Time management skills.- Ability to motivate and develop team members.Languages:- French: very good oral and written proficiency.- English: good level.Why join FHVi?Because this position places you at the heart of the digital transformation in the healthcare sector.
