La Comédie de Genève is a theater that aims to showcase the performing arts scene of French-speaking Switzerland and works from major European stages. As a production facility with several spaces dedicated to contemporary creation and serving artists, La Comédie de Genève offers a multidisciplinary program that values creation from here and elsewhere. In this context, the Technical department wishes to fill the position of:Stage Manager at 80%Missions and Responsibilities- You accompany and technically ensure the hosting of productions and events to guarantee the smooth running of the activity, particularly by participating in assembly, disassembly, rehearsals, and performances.- You ensure stage management, adjustments, and the smooth running of performances, especially when you have responsibility for general stage management.- You follow the technical riders of hosted productions and creations for aspects related to equipment and participate in show files (cues and media), as well as archiving.- You maintain and verify the proper functioning of the Comédie's equipment, whether owned or on loan, while participating in the annual inventory.- You propose and participate in choices during acquisitions and manage, in coordination with the Technical Direction, requests for quotes and order tracking.- You accompany and train auxiliary staff and interns hired by the institution.Required Profile and Skills- Federal Diploma of Stage Manager for the performing arts, or a qualification deemed equivalent.- You have confirmed experience in the field of stage management for live performance of at least 5 years.- You have skills in construction, mechanics (electromechanics is a plus), and good knowledge of rigging and stage machinery.- You are comfortable working at heights and are trained in safety rules in the workplace.- You have skills in props and pyrotechnics, which are assets.- Good knowledge of spoken and technical English is an asset.- You know how to adapt, are solution-oriented, and enjoy teamwork.- Working hours are irregular, linked to the activity of the institution.
