To complete our open-field team, we are recruiting a:Sprinkler Irrigation Technician at 100%In this role, you play a key part in the management and monitoring of irrigation systems. You ensure the maintenance and operation of equipment and contribute to field tasks.MissionIn this function entirely dedicated to irrigation, you ensure the installation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of our sprinkler irrigation systems. You ensure a reliable, regular water supply adapted to crop needs, taking into account production priorities and weather conditions. This position includes, in particular, the handling of equipment, its maintenance, fault diagnosis, as well as the execution of necessary adjustments and settings.Main responsibilities- Install, move, connect, and commission sprinkler irrigation systems;- Set up pipes, fittings, sprinklers, cannons, pumps, and other necessary equipment;- Monitor the proper functioning of systems during irrigation cycles;- Adapt flows and settings according to plots, crops, and conditions;- Ensure homogeneous and efficient water distribution;- Quickly identify leaks, pressure losses, breakdowns, or other technical anomalies;- Perform simple repairs, adjustments, and routine maintenance;- Ensure preventive maintenance and storage of equipment;- Use vehicles and agricultural machinery necessary for the transport and installation of equipment;- Ensure compliance with safety instructions and proper handling of equipment;- Transmit useful information regarding system status and work progress;- Propose improvements to optimize irrigation systems and water usage;- Provide, when necessary, technical support to other teams working on field tasks.Profile- You have initial professional experience in agricultural sprinkler irrigation systems;- You master common techniques for moving, connecting, and commissioning irrigation equipment;- You possess good knowledge of pipes, fittings, sprinklers, cannons, pumps, and hydraulic systems;- You are capable of identifying an anomaly and performing simple repairs or adjustments;- Training or experience in the fields of agriculture, hydraulics, mechanics, or technical equipment maintenance is an asset;- You have experience in driving light agricultural machinery;- You hold a valid driver's license in Switzerland;- You have sufficient knowledge of French to understand instructions and communicate with teams.- The existing job description highlights knowledge of systems, mastery of their operation and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to work on hydraulic, electrical, and motorized equipment.Qualities- Autonomy and sense of responsibility;- Rigor in following procedures;- Common sense and ease with manual work;- Ability to analyze and react to technical problems;- Dynamism and taste for outdoor work;- Team spirit and good communication;- Flexibility regarding weather conditions and crop needs;- Availability for hours that may vary during periods requiring irrigation.We offer- A stable and specialized position, entirely dedicated to irrigation;- Varied and empowering field activity;- Modern equipment and recent vehicles;- A dynamic and stimulating work environment;- Five weeks of vacation;- A thirteenth salary;- Fresh vegetables available twice a week.Interested?We look forward to receiving your complete application file including your curriculum vitae, work certificates, as well as your diplomas.
