With nearly 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont, the Department focuses on elderly care and provides services related to acute issues, especially through the emergency department of the Hôpital des Trois-Chêne, addressing specific age-related problems, medical treatments, and medicine. The position is aimed at a speech therapist who wishes to obtain the license to practice in the canton and to strengthen the multidisciplinary team at the Hôpital des Trois-Chêne. We are looking for a speech therapist interested in treating children and adults with swallowing issues. You will be responsible for conducting assessments and speech therapy follow-ups primarily in the field of swallowing disorders for elderly patients presenting with specific issues. Depending on the needs of the patients, you will also carry out assessments and follow-ups for language, speech, and voice disorders. For swallowing, you will work with care teams to advise and implement necessary adaptations. To enrich your experience, you can assist the radiologist during videofluoroscopy examinations. For language, speech, and voice disorders, your work aims to describe and characterize the observed disorders, their diagnosis, and preserved abilities while ensuring the transmission of tailored advice to patients. You will actively participate in interdisciplinary exchanges with other therapists, nursing teams, and staff.You must hold a Master's degree in speech therapy and have the right to practice in the canton of Geneva. You should have experience in speech therapy with various populations, including children and adults, neurological disorders, and knowledge of aphasiology, dysarthria, and dysphonia. If you do not yet meet the requirements for obtaining a practice number, you should be able to integrate into a multidisciplinary team and possess good prioritization and management skills. You are a rigorous, methodical person with additional capacities.
