Social WorkerThe Social Service (SOC) of the City of Geneva contributes to the framework and living conditions of the inhabitants of our city by creating connections and allowing them to fully participate in social life. Favoring local action, the SOC offers services and develops projects aimed at promoting solidarity and the integration of people in situations of vulnerability, in collaboration with institutional partners. To complete its team, the Social Team of the SOC is looking for a Social Worker.Activity rate: 80%Duration of engagement: 1 year - start date: to be agreed uponYour mission:- Inform and guide people contacting the Social Service by calling upon the resources of the institutional network or when it proves relevant;- Carry out social assessments of the people assisted;- Ensure the social support and follow-up of beneficiaries;- Contribute to the management of the unit's files in their specificities (social and financial aid, housing management, etc.), while ensuring the link with all internal and external partners;- Carry out complex procedures in connection with debt relief (notably establishing a detailed debt statement).Your profile:- Hold a Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work, or possess a qualification deemed equivalent;- Possess professional experience in the social follow-up of people in precarious situations;- Have good knowledge of the Geneva network of public, private, and socio-sanitary institutions;- Have the ability to manage, accompany, and evaluate individual and collective projects, as well as to work in a team or network, demonstrating an interest in autonomous work;- Organized, with a keen sense of priorities and available to work occasionally in the evening and on weekends;- Experience in debt relief represents an asset.Composition of the application file:The application file must contain the following elements:- Cover letter- Up-to-date and detailed curriculum vitae- Copies of work certificates and diplomasConditions of engagement:- Meet the requirements of the position in terms of training and experience required in the offer- Be in possession of a valid permit or work authorization- Be domiciled in the canton of Geneva or in the authorized border zone- The selected candidate will have to provide at their own expense the following documents: extracts from the ordinary and special criminal record and from the debt collection office- The function is classified within the limits of class I of the salary scale of the City of Geneva. jid161de8caen jit0418aen jpiy26aen
