The Social Service (SOC) of the City of GenevaSocial WorkerThe Social Service (SOC) of the City of Geneva contributes to the framework and living conditions of the inhabitants of our city by creating connections and allowing them to participate fully in social life. Favoring local action, the SOC offers services and develops projects aimed at promoting solidarity and the integration of people in situations of vulnerability, in collaboration with institutional partners and associations. The Emergency Social Mechanism (DUS), in particular, meets the needs of people in situations of homelessness or great precariousness in five dedicated structures (emergency shelters, Club social rive gauche and Club social rive droite).To strengthen its existing team, the SOC is looking for twoSocial Workersat an activity rate between 50 and 76%Your mission:- ensure the reception and socio-sanitary supervision of vulnerable people, the distribution of meals as well as the management of the collective within the DUS structures;- guarantee the tranquility, the respect of the framework and the safety procedures of people and places;- provide, if necessary, assistance with acts of hygiene and comfort, while respecting the autonomy and dignity of the person and supporting beneficiaries in the management of their personal affairs;- be attentive, perform a first-level socio-sanitary assessment and take the necessary measures (information, orientation, etc.);- collaborate with different trades and, at the request of the hierarchy, go to meet homeless people in the public space in order to assess their needs and take appropriate measures;- ensure follow-up and work on different sites, day and night, including weekends and public holidays.Profile:- hold a Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or have equivalent training and/or experience in activities where the relationship with others is essential;- demonstrate firmness and authority with a vulnerable public, while ensuring respect for the professional framework and team cohesion;- be able to manage emergency situations, adapt quickly to change and communicate with beneficiaries in a foreign language;- accept irregular hours (day/night, weekends, public holidays), demonstrate autonomy and common sense and be in possession of a driving license.Application file:The application file must contain the following documents:- cover letter- detailed curriculum vitae- copies of diplomas and work certificatesConditions of employment:- meet the requirements of the position in terms of diplomas and experience required in the job offer;- be in possession of a valid residence or work permit- be domiciled in the canton of Geneva or in the authorized border zone (the selected candidate will have to provide at their own expense the following documents: extracts from the ordinary and special criminal record, from the prosecution office and proof of residence)- the function is classified within the limit of class G of the salary scale of the City of GenevaNote:Please indicate in your application the activity rate that interests you!Start date: to be agreedEnd of application: August 31 or April 30 jid022e5f4aen jit0417aen jpiy26aen
