As part of the development of support for young adults with autism spectrum disorder, La Castalie in Monthey is immediately hiring or to be agreed, a

Social and Educational Assistant at 50%

Main duties:

• Provide support to young adults with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder within an educational and interdisciplinary team
• Participate in basic care as well as in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of individualised programmes
• Encourage and support beneficiaries in developing their skills and strengthening their social participation
• Participate within the living group in various administrative and maintenance tasks, as well as in numerous development projects of our institution

Key requirements for the position:

• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a social and educational assistant or equivalent training
• Experience and knowledge of autism spectrum disorders would be an asset, but motivation to learn is essential
• Empathy for people with disabilities and intellectual impairments
• Communication skills, listening ability and interdisciplinary spirit
• Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends
