**Your -day to day-**
As a Senior Scientist in the non-clinical Health and Disease Research team, you will develop impactful scientific research strategies, study proposals and analytical plans to address diverse scientific questions in alignment with business needs. You will lead the implementation and execution of the studies as per agreed project plan, drive robust data analysis and interpretation, present scientific findings, develop and/or critically review study reports and scientific publications. You will evaluate and present new research opportunities in alignment with our strategic directions and interact with other scientific disciplines, functions, and external scientific experts.
**More specifically, you'll**
* Develop impactful non-clinical scientific strategies, study proposals (design, protocol, plans) and analytical plans to address diverse scientific questions in alignment with business needs.
* Lead the implementation and the execution of the studies in collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring adherence to agreed project plans. As subject matter expert, you are responsible for the scientific approach and for ensuring scientific integrity and quality of all research outputs.
* Drive data analyses, perform a robust scientific interpretation of the data and develop study conclusions.
* Present study design, protocol, scientific findings and conclusions to the project teams.
* Develop and/or critically review scientific reports and publications.
* Lead, conduct and present scientific evaluations of new research opportunities, providing scientific insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
* Present scientific findings at external scientific events and conferences.
* Collaborate internally with various scientific disciplines, functions and with external scientific experts and partners (CROs).
* Keep abreast with deep scientific knowledge to support the development of innovative scientific strategies to support business needs.
**Who we-re looking for**
** **
* PhD in Biology or related field with post-doctoral experience, or equivalent experience and skills.
* Minimum 5 years- experience in non-clinical / translational research with demonstrated in-depth scientific expertise in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Business understanding from previous experience in the industry (R&D) is an advantage.
* Analytical skills, to quickly process and understand broad datasets (Omics).
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
* Results orientation, following through commitments from start to finish.
* Innovative mindset, connecting the dots to create new opportunities, as well as curiosity to look for new ways & opportunities to build value.
* Ability to understand strategic directions, business environment and challenges, and to translate them into effective science-based action plans.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
