Are you driven by a passion for innovation and maximizing the uptime of semiconductor production tools? In the role of an Implant Maintenance Engineer/Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the reliability, availability, and ongoing enhancement of our semiconductor production tool assets. Your main responsibilities will include the corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance of implant equipment, collaborating across various functions to promote safety, enhance productivity, and improve overall tool and workflow efficiencies on the production line.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining maximum uptime of semiconductor production tools through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of implant equipment.
  • Driving continuous improvements in equipment performance, while applying workplace safety practices aligned with the 6S methodology.
  • Working closely with maintenance, process, and production teams to achieve performance targets and optimize line efficiency.
  • Participating in tool upgrades and modernization efforts to boost tool capabilities and reliability.
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and system performance.
  • Supporting root-cause analysis and problem-solving for technical issues within the team.
  • Training and mentoring colleagues on implant systems, safety protocols, and best maintenance practices.
  • Fostering a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, procedures, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Hands-on experience in the maintenance of semiconductor production tools.
  • A solid background in electronics, mechanics, and pneumatics.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with ion implanters (such as AMAT, Nissin, or Axcelis).
  • Familiarity with metrology tools used for process control (like Semilab WT-2000).
  • Additional training or expertise in vacuum systems or related technologies.
  • A completed technical vocational training (e.g., Automation Technician, Electronics Technician, or a similar field).
  • A willingness to work in shifts.
  • A strong team-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills, good organizational abilities, and proficiency in English (knowledge of German is a plus).
