Philip Morris International (PMI) has undergone a monumental transformation in the tobacco industry. Moving away from cigarettes, our primary focus is on smoke-free products that do not involve the burning of tobacco, which is the primary source of the harms of smoking cigarettes.

As a scientific writer, you will be creating science-related content for multiple channels, such as pmiscience.com, which is the public repository for our scientific publications and useful information about our research on our smoke-free products. You’ll also be responsible for drafting compelling content for social media on the same topics.

The scientific writer will be able to take worldclass research and turn it into inspiring and engaging articles, posts, and other informational content that help the wider scientific community, regulators, journalists, science communicators, and non-experts understand our latest research.****
You will work within a team of content creators to generate content that provides a brilliant understanding of scientific research, clarifies how that research is carried out, and contains all the proof points needed to support the scientific narratives. You’ll tell our science stories with passion, but without over-claiming or exaggerating results.

This is a complex role that requires faithful attention to detail and accuracy, identification of the story underlying the science, and an ability to translate that science to plain English for our varied audiences.
