The BPA works for the Road Research Scientist ( %)The BPA works for accident prevention in the areas of road traffic, leisure, and sports. To do this, a deep understanding of accident occurrence is necessary. As part of your new role, you will analyze road accidents and develop targeted prevention measures to improve road safety.Start date: September 1st or by arrangementTasks- You analyze road accidents, identify risk factors, interactions, and trends, and draw relevant conclusions in terms of safety.- You develop scientific foundations and create prevention approaches focused on effectiveness and based on factual evidence with the goal of reducing the number of accidents.- You design, plan, and manage research projects, which you follow from the initial phase to the final report, including study design and data collection.- You collect data, process it, and analyze it using appropriate methods and methodological approaches.- You follow developments and trends in research, technology, legislation, and policy in the field of road safety, and analyze them from an interdisciplinary perspective.- You join internal and external interdisciplinary working groups and committees, and actively exchange with other experts.- You write technical reports and position papers, provide your expert opinion, and communicate research results to specialized circles, decision-makers, and the media.Profile- Holder of a Master's degree or equivalent in a discipline related to prevention (e.g., in natural sciences, social sciences, health sciences, or engineering).- Solid knowledge of empirical research methods and basic notions of statistics, ideally with professional experience in accident or safety research.- Experience in the design, implementation, and management of research or demanding projects.- Ability to analyze complex subjects, evaluate them critically, and present them in a concrete form.- Very good oral and written communication skills, as well as great ease in interacting with different stakeholders.- Structured, autonomous working method and willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.- Very good knowledge of French and German as well as good knowledge of English.Interested?We look forward to receiving your application.The BPA is committed to your safety.
