Start date: June 1 or as agreed Location: BernFor the built sites of local and regional importance in the canton of Bern, we are looking for a historian in architecture or an art historian or an architect with experience in local development or in the inventory of historical monuments. This position is time-limited until December.Tasks: As part of the review of built sites, you will verify that the current inventory is up to date, conduct research in the paper and digital archives of the Historic Monuments Service, and assess the sites. You will review and update existing records and enter data according to the defined method, including photographic documentation and plan entry (ArcGIS). You will support the project management in the execution and implementation, assist with the organization and follow-up of internal and external meetings, and be responsible for the participation of sites within the project team and in coordination with representatives of the Historic Monuments Service and experts.Profile: You hold a Master's degree in the history of architecture and/or the history of art and, if possible, have completed a training program or have worked in the fields of urban planning, built site surveys, or development. You demonstrate a keen sense of architectural and urban planning aspects and have methodological skills and are autonomous. You show analytical thinking and have very good writing skills in German or French, and good active knowledge of the other language (B2 level).
