Maillefer is a global leader in wire & cable and pipe & tube production technologies. To strengthen our Pipe & Tube Business Line, we are looking for a Sales Manager to drive order intake and revenue growth while keeping the company competitive and innovative.

 

Sales Manager

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Maillefer’s pipe and tube production systems to producers within a designated geographical region. You will establish and execute a regional sales plan to achieve targets, supported by Maillefer’s regional sales offices and agent networks. Close collaboration with the Product Management team in Switzerland will be key, and you will report directly to the Sales Director, Pipe & Tube Business Line.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Achieve sales targets and provide accurate reports and forecasts to management.

·        Manage and expand Maillefer’s existing customer base while actively identifying new leads and opportunities.

·        Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs.

·        Drive the entire sales process from planning through to closing.

·        Conduct market studies to identify emerging markets, trends, and competitive activities.

·        Support the Sales Director in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.

·        Participate in trade shows, seminars, sales events, and training sessions.

·        Monitor market trends, and competitor activities, and report insights to support portfolio and technical developments.

·        Drive and coordinate sales activities across assigned territories and contribute to the development of the sales network.

·        Manage customer interactions during visits, demonstrations, and negotiations, ensuring excellent service throughout the sales cycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

·        Proven experience in sales and marketing of investment goods, ideally within the plastic machines industry.

·        Strong business acumen with the ability to sell according to customer needs and market trends.

·        Excellent relationship-building skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

·        Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (or equivalent higher education).

·        Minimum of 3 years of international sales experience.

·        Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

·        Leadership qualities with a result-oriented, positive attitude.

·        Fluency in French and English is required; good knowledge of German is highly desirable. Additional fluency in Spanish or Italian is an asset.

·        Willingness to travel extensively and work under pressure with a flexible schedule.
