Introduction

Autonomous public law institution of the Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel, established across several service sites and supported by around sixty employees, mainly distributed in the road and electromechanical sectors, NEVIA ensures the operation and routine maintenance of the N5 – Yverdon-Bienne and N20 - Le Locle – Anet motorway routes.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and committed Road Maintenance Worker with Heavy Goods Vehicle Licence.

Activities:Routine maintenance of motorway infrastructures, using trucks, tool carriers, machinery and modern equipment:- snow clearance and salting- cleaning of surface and underground infrastructures- dredging works- maintenance of green areas- control of invasive plants- repairs, restoration after accidents- ensuring safety and accompanying various contractors- network monitoring- setting up and removal of temporary signage- support for roadworks- summer and winter on-call service

Required profile:Federal VET Certificate or equivalent qualificationHolder of a heavy goods vehicle driving licence (with trailer is a plus)Experience in pipe dredging, road maintenance or green spaces would be an advantageGood health and robust constitutionResidence close to the workplace (about 15 minutes)Teamwork skills and ability to work variable hours
