The Groupe Haute Chocolaterie SA unites the renowned brands Jacot, Brändli and Chocolat Du Rhône and operates a total of 10 exclusive chocolate boutiques and tea rooms: 5 locations in the German-speaking part of Switzerland (Basel and Zurich area) as well as 5 in the French-speaking part of Switzerland (Neuchâtel, Lausanne and Geneva area).

Head of Retail 80–100% (m/f/d)

You have sound business management knowledge, proven leadership experience in retail as well as a strong passion for excellent customer service and premium products.
Retail Manager
Strategy & Control
- Development and implementation of the retail strategy in close coordination with management
- Planning and implementation of sales promotion and marketing measures in brick-and-mortar retail
Sales & Profit Responsibility
- Overall responsibility for the performance of the branches
- Analysis and control of relevant KPIs as well as initiation of targeted measures in case of deviations
Personnel Management & Development
- Leadership and coaching of branch managers
- Recruitment, development and training of branch teams
- Ensuring efficient personnel deployment planning
Customer Experience & Trademarketing
- Ensuring a consistent and high-quality brand presence across all locations
- Development and implementation of trademarketing activities such as sampling campaigns, in-store events and customer loyalty programmes
- Optimisation of the customer journey in the boutiques and tea rooms
Assortment & Space Management
- Implementation of the assortment strategy in close cooperation with production
- Ensuring product availability
- Optimal product presentation including definition of visual merchandising guidelines
Location Development
- Analysis and optimisation of space utilisation
- Planning and implementation of sensible structural adjustments in the branches
Process Optimisation & Interface Management
- Further development of efficient branch processes
- Close cooperation with HR, controlling, marketing and production
Your Profile
- Commercial basic training with business management further education
- Several years of leadership experience in a comparable position (e.g. regional sales management) in Swiss retail
- Extensive operational experience in brick-and-mortar sales with close customer contact
- Dynamic, flexible and service-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality
- Willingness to regularly visit the 10 locations in the German- and French-speaking parts of Switzerland
- Strong affinity for premium products, ideally in the food, confectionery or hospitality sector
- Confident handling of KPIs and business management control instruments
- Very good IT user skills
- Fluent in German and French (written and spoken), English skills are an advantage
