The Rescue and Emergency Centre (CSU) carries out more than 5200 interventions per year across the 3 districts of central Valais, Sion-Hérens-Conthey, where the paramedic crews attached to the CSU of the municipality of Sion operate. The rescue service covers an area of approximately 900 km2. The CSU of Sion deploys 3 ambulances during the day from 07:00 to 19:00, 2 ambulances at night from 19:00 to 07:00 and includes 40 staff members, including healthcare professionals and administrative personnel. The CSU only performs P1, P2 and S1 missions assigned by the emergency centre 144.

Quality Responsible Paramedic

activity rate 80 to 100%

within the CSU, a section attached to the Population, Security and Airport service.

Your missions

  • Develop and evolve the CSU quality system;
  • Lead and coordinate the service's quality projects;
  • Participate in the development of care standards and operational procedures;
  • Promote the integration of best practices and proven results in care;
  • Supervise the activities of the referents in your field;
  • Ensure monitoring of quality indicators, statistics and activity analyses;
  • Participate in risk management and strengthening patient safety;
  • Organise and lead feedback processes and quality circle sessions;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable professional, cantonal and federal standards;
  • Contribute to maintaining the IAS recognition of the service;
  • Perform prehospital interventions as a qualified ES paramedic.

Your profile

  • ES paramedic diploma;
  • CAS in quality of care or equivalent training. Persons not yet holding this training must commit to obtaining it as soon as possible after starting work;
  • Proven experience in the prehospital field;
  • Good knowledge of the Valais prehospital health system and the Valais Cantonal Rescue Organisation (OCVS);
  • Proficiency in common IT tools and software specific to the prehospital environment;
  • Native French or German speaker with basic knowledge of the other language and English;
  • Organisational skills, autonomy and initiative;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a network;
  • Analytical mind, rigour and solution orientation;
  • Ease in project management and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Remuneration conditions

  • Class 115 for holders of a CAS in quality of care or recognised equivalent training;
  • Class 114 for persons not yet holding this training, with progression to class 115 upon obtaining it.

Salary
