The Municipality of Montreux is advertising a position for a:

Main tasks:

• Carry out routine maintenance work on the communal public domain
• Participate in clearance work following bad weather and storms
• Participate in snow clearance and winter interventions
• Ensure cleanliness in the town and villages
• Maintain service premises, vehicles, installations, machines, equipment and tools

Desired profile:

• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as an operations agent, or in the building trade, or equivalent training considered
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience related to the field
• Practical experience in public domain maintenance is an asset
• Comfortable with winter road maintenance (manual and mechanical)
• Knowledge of masonry and civil engineering work is an asset
• Good communication skills
• Sense of organisation, coordination and initiative

Special conditions:

• Be available and flexible with working hours (on-call duty including Saturdays, Sundays and nights)
• Be able to reach the workplace within a maximum of 30 minutes to respond to alarms
• Work weekends and public holidays on a rotating schedule according to established hours and needs
• In addition to a driving licence for light vehicles (category B), trailer licence (BE), machine operator licence M1, aerial platform operator licence – PEMP, is an asset
• Be accustomed to driving on snow
