It is at the service of the population and the authorities. This is reflected 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by the accomplishment of a large number of varied and demanding tasks: emergency interventions, investigation of offenses, crime prevention, inquiries, etc. The increasingly important role of the police in managing social problems requires tact from agents and is also responsible for ensuring road traffic safety. It provides support in terms of security to public events and supports cantonal and municipal authorities during events.
