HYDRO Exploitation SA is a leading service provider primarily active in the operation and maintenance of electrical production facilities. Under one roof, we bring together all the specific skills of our profession, from maintenance staff to engineering.

We operate a portfolio of facilities including more than 40 hydroelectric power plants with an installed capacity of about 22% of the Swiss hydroelectric fleet (25% including pumped storage). Together, these facilities produce nearly 16% of Swiss hydroelectric energy.

Project Manager & General Director of Works

Workplace: Hybrid

Your mission:

We are looking for a Project Manager & General Director of Works capable of managing and leading major multidisciplinary technical projects within the framework of overhauls and renewals of installations for hydroelectric facilities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure the organisation, planning and monitoring of studies and works, ensuring compliance with costs, deadlines and quality
  • Identify discrepancies (costs, deadlines and quality) and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Organise and coordinate personnel resources as well as technical means
  • Organise and monitor supplies and subcontracted activities
  • Lead and synchronise the various project stakeholders ensuring effective communication
  • Provide regular, clear and transparent information to the client
  • Ensure risk management as well as monitoring of control actions
  • Participate in the preparation of offers and amendments

Your skills:

  • Degree in engineering from a University of Applied Sciences/ETH, preferably in electrical engineering, automation or mechanical engineering
  • Completed project management training and proven experience in managing multidisciplinary projects
  • Desired experience in fields related to the operation of hydroelectric facilities or in industrial infrastructure
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Native French or German speaker with a very good command of the second language. Knowledge of English is necessary
