Changins — University of Viticulture and Oenology — is the Swiss reference center for education and research in the fields of viticulture and oenology. For over 75 years, the school has trained professionals in the sector, from the soil to the glass. As part of its development, Changins is now expanding its scope to fermented beverages, thus affirming a renewed ambition for all these sectors. With recognized expertise in wine market analysis — notably via the Swiss Wine Market Observatory — the institution is now strengthening its Market & Management sector by integrating wine science as a strategic axis. In this context, we are looking for a:Professor of Wine ScienceWithin the Market & Management sector, under the responsibility of the Director, your mission will be to lead the sector and supervise the existing team. As a Professor, you will carry out the fundamental missions of the position: teaching, applied research and development (R&D), and service provision, as well as management responsibilities for the sector.MissionsTeaching and Continuing Education- Provide instruction related to the sector's themes in the Bachelor's programs in Viticulture and Oenology, Master's in Life Sciences, and the Higher School.- Design and facilitate continuing education modules meeting the needs of the wine and agri-food sectors.Applied Research and Development- Conduct and develop applied research projects in wine science and market analysis, in connection with professional and academic circles at regional, national, and international levels.- Ensure the dissemination and promotion of research results.Service Provision- Carry out mandates and service provision for economic, institutional, or public partners.Sector Management and Development- Define and implement the strategy for the sector, set objectives, and steer teaching, R&D, continuing education, and service activities.- Manage the sector team, support their professional development, and ensure compliance with the allocated budget.- Develop and animate a network of academic, professional, and institutional partners at regional, national, and international levels.- Represent Changins in conferences, working groups, and sectoral bodies related to the themes of the sector.Profile and Experience- Doctorate (PhD) in wine science, marketing, market research, economics, or management — a complementary degree in agri-food sciences is an asset.- Proven experience in applied research in wine science, ideally in the wine, agri-food, or other consumer goods sectors.- Confirmed experience in higher education (University of Applied Sciences, university, or equivalent).- Relevant professional experience of at least 5 years.- Demonstrated experience in team management.Skills and Qualities- Proven expertise in wine science; complementary knowledge of market analysis is an asset.- Entrepreneurial spirit and taste for innovation applied to the sector.- Confirmed pedagogical skills and interest in knowledge transfer (didactic certification or to be acquired within three years).- Leadership, sense of responsibility, and team spirit.- Proficiency in French and English; knowledge of German is an asset.- Strong interest in the wine world and its challenges.What We Offer- A position as a Professor with the freedom to build and steer a rapidly developing sector at the heart of the institution.- An exceptional working environment in Nyon, between Lake Geneva and the vineyards.- The possibility to actively contribute within a human-sized institution, recognized at national and international levels, and carrying meaning and values.Position: ProfessorStart date: September 1st or by agreementActivity rate: 80–100%Workplace: Route de Duillier 52, NyonApplication deadline: June 15thFor any questions regarding the recruitment process, please contact HR by email.For any questions regarding the position, the Director is at your disposal.Changins adopts a recruitment policy in favor of equal opportunities. jide89877caen jit0623aen jpiy26aen
