Process Machining Engineer (M/F/D)*
Your contribution
- You work closely with production teams to achieve continuous improvement objectives in terms of quality, productivity and flow performance.
- You analyse the capabilities of existing equipment and propose optimisations to improve their utilisation, enhance reliability and develop new processes.
- You lead the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, from the analysis phase to the implementation of robust standards, relying on recognised methodologies (Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.).
- You write, structure and deploy work instructions according to TWI standards, ensuring their adoption by operational teams.
- You collaborate with various departments (production, quality, methods, R&D, sales) to meet customer requirements and project needs.
- You take charge of the complete development of new machining processes, particularly within prototype projects or small series with high added value.
- You programme and optimise CNC machines for machining technical materials (notably sapphire), ensuring industrial feasibility, repeatability and part quality.
- You define machining strategies, process parameters, tooling and manufacturing methods adapted to customer requirements.
- You are responsible for process development, from initial trials to industrial validation.
- You manage process development projects from A to Z: needs analysis, feasibility study, testing, validation, industrialisation.
- You are the main technical contact for prototype projects and coordinate between internal and external stakeholders.
- You provide concrete and innovative solutions to meet the high technical demands of our clients.
- As a process expert, you conduct and lead feasibility and industrialisation studies on specific or customised products.
- You actively contribute to solving complex production issues (quality, capability, process drifts, etc.).
Your qualifications
- Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
- Initial technical training in machining
- Proven experience in managing industrial projects and continuous improvement of production processes
- Good knowledge of industrialisation and optimisation of machining processes
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or training is an advantage
- Natural leadership, team spirit and excellent communication skills
- Analytical and synthetic mindset, structured and methodical approach
- Proactive, solution-oriented and a self-starter
- Good level of English (minimum B2)
