Your tasks ##
- Develop theoretical models to describe the atomic and electronic structure of altermagnetic materials as measured in photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS, ARPES) and scanning probe microscopy STM (computational focus)
- Maintain and develop computational tools in collaboration with the team
- Collaborate with experimental and theoretical partners
- Assist other team members performing experiments at the SLS and other light sources
- Participate in the international scientific community by presenting your results at international conferences and publish them in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Your profile ##
- PhD degree in physics or a related field
- Strong expertise in theoretical modeling of condensed matter systems and their surfaces
- Strong computing skills including programming and experience with high-performance computing
- Successful first author publications
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
